The Badger Story: From a Simple Balm to a Trusted Brand In the mid-1990s, Badger's founder, Bill Whyte, worked as a carpenter. His hands would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. How to Apply Badger Mineral Sunscreens Badger recommends rubbing their mineral sunscreens between your hands to warm them before applying, which makes the application easier. Apply the sunscreen directly to the skin, rubbing it in to protect the entire area and reduce any whitening. For full protection, reapply at least every 2 hours, and use about a shotglass-full for adults, as "a little bit goes a long way" does not apply to sunscreen.
